It's not my Fault

People "....know what they want," and when their way of getting it is not an option, "they think there are no options."
"It's not my fault" Dr. Henry Cloud, Dr. John Townsend

All too often we believe that things in our life have to happen in a certain way like a relationship, work or family.  So when things don't happen the way we want them to we throw a little tantrum.  We try to force our way and make it happen our way but when it still doesn’t work we believe there are no options.  Now we believe it is impossible or that it is not meant to be.  This is furthest thing from the truth.  Do you remember playing with friends as a little kid and you wanted to play a game that required something you did not have?  Maybe you had everything except this one piece.  Did you just give up?  No! You just improvised.  As we have gotten older we forget how to substitute or improvise.  There is always a creative solution you just have to look for it.
